Why we do it

Growing awareness of the consequences of what we introduce in our body has made us select ,with time and patience, the healthy foods that we should accept.  For their origin, for the quality of cultivation methods and for how much these foods contribute to our well-being.   With this in mind, we started to self-produce most of the things we eat, including the oil.

We all know that there is a strong correlation between our eating habits and many chronic diseases (cardiovascular diseases, cancer, obesity and diabetes).  Studies have shown that diets rich in monounsaturated fats (Mediterranean diet) which include olive oil, reduce the levels of triglycerides, total cholesterol and LDL cholesterol (“bad” cholesterol), resulting in an increase in the levels of HDL cholesterol (“good” cholesterol). These beneficial properties allow us to attribute the cardio protective properties to the label.
